Steelworks up on massive spec scheme in Bristol

Steel work has started to go up on a 580,000 sq ft speculative warehouse development at St Francis Group and iSec’s Horizon 38 scheme in Bristol.

The first phase of the scheme forward funded by BP Pension Fund, totals 210,7000 sq ft in five units with the first delivery of completed logistics and manufacturing space coming on stream in the summer of 2017 with later phases completed in 2018.

In total some 27 units are envisaged ranging from Trade Centre units of 3,800 sq ft to logistics warehouse of 115,600 sq ft.

Horizon 38 is a one million sq ft mixed use development site, fronting onto the A38 in Filton near the former Filton airfield, Airbus and Rolls-Royce Engines manufacturing plants. It sits within the Filton Enterprise Area; the largest regeneration and inward investment project in the south west.

Letting agents are Bilfinger GVA and JLL.
