Strong gorwth at Ennshafen port in 2010

Ennshafen exceeds 2008 figures at its container terminal and in water/land throughput

 

At Ennshafen port there are clear signs for a good year 2010. At the container terminal Enns as well as in water/land throughput the volumes beat the figures of the year 2008. Regarding the container terminal the management expects a total volume ranging at 225,000 to 227,000 TEU. This means an increase of 42 per cent compared on 2009 or a plus of 18 per cent on 2008. As for water/land throughput a total volume of 670,000 tons shows, which means a growth of 25 per cent compared to 2009 or an increase of around 20 per cent on 2008.

EHG Ennshafen Managing Director Mag. Christian Steindl expresses his satisfaction about this development in the interview with the Austria transport magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung. In his outlook for the coming year he announced the initiation of measures to boost activities in the water/land throughput segment.
