TFG Transfracht to serve the port of Enns

New schedule with TFG Transfracht for “AlbatrosExpress Austria“

With the launch of the winter schedule 2009/10, the product offer “AlbatrosExpress Austria“ of TFG Transfracht will be reorganised. The terminal at the port of Enns will have a direct rail connection to all sea freight terminals in Bremerhaven and Hamburg as of 13 December.

As a reason for the reorganisation of the Austria schedule TFG Transfracht states the end of the cooperation with ICA Intercontainer Austria. “The new product offer enables us to secure our approved products on the Austrian relation also in the future and to maintain our high quality“, Managing Director Gerhard Oswald adds. The target of the Manager is to introduce measures for a smooth switch between transports.

The international company for combined transport TFG Transfracht (-Internationale Gesellschaft für kombinierten Güterverkehr mbH & Co) is the market leader in hinterland transport with Germany’s seaports. For shipping and forwarding companies the enterprise transports containers from German seaports directly to the end recipients in Germany, Austria and Switzerland; as well as from the initial shipper to German seaports.

Three countries (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) as well as two ports (Bremerhaven and Hamburg) are served with a rail system – the AlbatrosExpress. With more than 15,000 connections per year and 20 terminals the AlbatrosExpress network is one of the densest rail networks in European hinterland traffic for seaports. Every day a transport capacity of 4,500 TEU is available.
