TNT Innight Austria expands its central hub in Ried/Traunkreis

Expansion of its hub in Ried im Traunkreis enables TNT Innight Austria to considerably increase parcel throughput during peak times.

The stable growth of the past years requires the expansion of TNT Innight Austria’s central throughput station. Before the end of 2011 the hub in Ried im Traunkreis, Upper Austria, will be expanded. In addition to expanding the office building, renovating the areas on the ground floor and modernising the IT infrastructure, they will also enhance the capacity of the sorting hall. “Thus we are able to almost double the maximum parcel throughput during peak times and to accelerate loading and unloading processes considerably“, the company states in a press release

Thomas Bauer, Managing Director TNT Innight Austria, commented on the project as follows: “In the past years our enterprise has been growing in line with the customers’ demands. Through the expansion of this hub we will be able to offer a better service in the future and we are well prepared for a further expansion of our national and international business activities.”

TNT Innight Austria is a specialist for overnight delivery of time-sensitive goods. The subsidiary of the Dutch TNT Express group has about 50 employees, who move around 800,000 shipments per year.
