Transport enterprise Gatterbauer slides into insolvency

Regional court Landesgericht St. Pölten opens reorganisation process of Anton Gatterbauer Gesellschaft m.b.H. from Amstetten
 
Through the insolvency of the Anton Gatterbauer Gesellschaft m.b.H. from Amstetten the Austrian transport and logistics industry is loosing another company these days. On 31 January 2013 reorganisation proceedings without self-administration about the assets of the company established in 1903 were opened at the regional court Landesgericht St. Pölten. Lawyer Dr. Christine Riess from Waidhofen/Ybbs was appointed liquidator for this case.
 
The insolvency of the internationally acting forwarding and transport company affects about 27 employees and 56 creditors. Liabilities of more than EUR 2 million are opposed to assets amounting to about EUR 500.000, as informs the association for the protection of creditors KSV 1870 in a press release. The reasons for the insolvency are deemed to be the fierce price competition and fiercely rising fuel prices.
 
The reorganisation plan provides for a payment of a quota of 20%, to be paid within 2 years from acceptance. According to the indebted company they will be able to pay this quota through continued operation of the enterprise. The hearing is scheduled for 26 March 2013 at the regional court Landesgericht St. Pölten. Closing date for creditors’ claims will be 5 Mach 2013.
