Turkish Airlines will add five new destinations to its route network

Turkish Airlines is expanding its international route network. Five new destinations are to be added to the flight schedule: Nairobi (Kenya), Sao Paulo (Brazil), Dakar (Senegal), Lviv/Lemberg (Ukraine) and Mashad (Iran). After Teheran, Mashad is the second largest city in Iran, Lviv is the sixth destination served by Turkish Airlines in Ukraine. The expansion increases the number of destinations offered all over the globe to 145 targets in 72 countries.

At the international hub Istanbul a non-stop service will be available to Nairobi (as of 23 February 2009), Lviv (as of 20 April 2009) and Mashad (as of March 2009). Flights to the Brazilian metropolis Sao Paulo via Dakar will start being operated twice weekly as of 22 March 2009.

Moreover Turkish Airlines increases frequencies on certain routes: the Lebanese capital Beirut is now served daily from Istanbul. In the future 10 instead of 7 flights per week will be available on the route to the Turkmen city of Ashgabat. The Indian metropolis Mumbai and New Delhi will be connected daily to Istanbul as of February 2nd.
