Two new cargo-partner warehouses in Central and Eastern Europe

Warehouse facilities of the forwarding company cargo-partner in Central and Eastern Europe is beyond the peak of 100,000 pallet positions for the first time

The international transport and logistics company cargo-partner enlarges its warehouse facilities in Austria and Slovakia to more than 100,000 pallet storing positions. Stefan Krauter, CEO: “cargo-partner therewith emphasises its position as a dynamically growing medium-sized company. Furthermore we increase our service for consolidated cargo and system transport within Europe.”

Since the beginning of the year cargo-partner operates a 7,300 m² covered warehouse located right next to the Metrans container terminal in Dunajska Streda. At the location in Slovakia arriving sea cargo containers from Hamburg and Koper can be accepted. The long-term aim is to expand the storage area to 30,000 m².

In Fischamend near Vienna the current logistics facilities are upgraded with a 2,500 m² cross-docking-hall with 22 loading docks for trucks as well as with a high rack warehouse with additional space for about 7,000 pallets. Furthermore the office space will be expanded for about 150 new employees. The warehouses’ focus lies on regional business support. The cross-docking-terminal focuses on international business to further improve the connection between Western and Eastern Europe.

The cargo-partner group is present around the world with more than 100 offices and 2,400 employees in 29 countries and achieved a 2011 turnover of EUR 500 million. The range of services covers air, sea and road transports as well as solutions in the area of the optimization of storage capacities.
