Tyrolean transport company Gebrüder Hauser have become insolvent

Fierce competition in international long distance transport was fatal for Gebrüder Hauser GmbH in Zirl

The bankruptcy proceedings about the assets and liabilities of Gebrüder Hauser GmbH, based in Zirl, Tyrol, have been opened on 1 February at the regional court Landesgericht Innsbruck. Lawyer Dr. Stephan Kasseroler from Innsbruck was appointed liquidator in this case. The first hearing is scheduled for 8 April 2013. Registration period in court for creditors ends on 8 March 2013.

According to the indebted company their liabilities amount to around EUR 2.2 million. The insolvency affects about 130 creditors. “With the opening of the bankruptcy the party liable has also applied for the closure of the enterprise, because they have no economic perspective in this sector", reads a press release of the association for the protection of creditors, KSV 1870.

Before the insolvency Gebrüder Hauser was mainly operating in international long distance transport. In the past months the company had about 20 employees and operated 18 trucks. According to the description of the party liable the fierce competition within the transport industry, particularly international transport, was the reason for their insolvency. The financial statements of the past years show relatively high operating losses. Despite selling the company property about one year ago, the enterprise was not able to put operations back on a healthy footing.
