The name Cordes & Simon belongs to the past
German forwarding company Cordes & Simon acts under the umbrella brand Kuehne + Nagel with immediate effect A traditional name disappears from the German forwarding market. Cordes & Simon GmbH & Co. KG was fully integrated into Kuehne + Nagel (AG & Co.) KG on 1 April 2010. As of now the company is acting under the brand Kuehne + Nagel. Since its establishment in the year 1934 Cordes & Simon has been evolving into a leading logistics enterprise in North Rhine Westphalia and Baden-Württtemberg. At the end of 2007 Kuehne + Nagel has acquired the enterprise in the course of their expansion of European land transport activities. The now accomplished commercial merger ends an integration process, which has always been concentrating on identifying and binding longstanding employees, as well as on consolidating and expanding the important customer relations of Cordes & Simon. Since 1 April 2010 the former Cordes & Simon locations in Hagen, Freiberg/Neckar and Villingen-Schwenningen have a uniform appearance under the Kuehne + Nagel brand. They are completely integrated into the regional structures of the group. The area covering optimisation of the services of the Kuehne + Nagel group in the field of ocean, air and land transportation, as well as contract logistics, has advanced with these three new locations.
