Vienna Airport is linked to four new destinations

Winter Flight Plan 2010/11 of the Vienna International Airport brings new direct flights from Vienna to Male, Mumbai, Valencia and Beirut

 

Vienna International Airport is starting the 2010/2011 winter season with four new destinations and many upgrades of flight connections. Austrian Airlines starts with the beginning of the winter flight schedule one direct flight per week to Male. This operation is to be increased to two weekly course pairs as of 24 December 2010. In addition, Austrian will re-establish service between Vienna and Mumbai in India. There will be five flights per week. In February 2011 NIKI will add direct flights to Valencia to its program. The Spanish destination will be served twice per week. Wataniya Airways commences direct connections to the Lebanese capital Beirut, with three flights per week beginning with the winter flight schedule.

The offering of flights on existing routes will also be expanded. NIKI will increase the number of flights to Bucharest – Henri Coanda International Airport (formerly Otopeni) and Sofia by 11 frequencies each to a total of 17 flights per week. Milan is now served 16 times per week and Malaga five times per week. Lufthansa is adding five additional flights to the current 26 weekly connections to Düsseldorf. Wataniya Airways will raise the number of connections to Kuwait City to six per week. The three additional frequencies will be routed via the new destination in Beirut. Turkish Airlines is increasing its courses to Istanbul by four beginning in December 2010. Rossiya Airlines increases the frequency to St. Petersburg as of January 2011 to three services per week.
