WienCont expects growth for 2009

WienCont Group achieved record throughput in 2008

The Management of the WienCont Group expects the total throughput at the terminal Vienna-Freudenau to grow by 15 per cent in 2009. The new train products Antwerp-Vienna-Sopron-Vienna-Cologne and Vienna-Hall-Bludenz and back are stated to be the reason for the expected growth. “Starting to operate the new crane module at terminal 1 allowed us to considerably improve quality. More construction works at the old north bank will be finished by September 2009“, Managing Director Robert Groiß announces in a press release.

In the year 2008 total transhipment at the WienCont Group locations Vienna, Krems, Graz, Villach and Wels beat the mark of 400,000 TEU for the first time.
