ZVS launches new initiative for young forwarders
Win a journey to New York in the competition for the title “young forwarder of the year“:
The Austrian association of forwarders and logisticians – Zentralverband Spedition & Logistik (ZVS) – starts a competition for young forwarding employees across Austria. The stakeholder awards the „Jungspediteur des Jahres“ (young forwarder of the year). Candidates shall be born 1986 or later. The challenge is to submit a sustainably ecolocical and/or economic customer or industry specific solution. The paper shall have a maximum length of 7 pages and musst arrive at Zentralverband Spedition & Logistik, 1150 Wien, Mariahilfer Gürtel 39/1/1/8, before 31 October 2011. The best ideas will be prized with journeys and special tickets.
The Austrian forwarding and logistics industry employs around 16.000 people in total, about 4,000 of them younger than 25 years. The range of education covers apprenticeships for forwarders, universities for applied sciences as well as classic universities. “The competition puts a focus on young, creative people from our industry“, emphasises ZV president Dkfm. Harald Bollmann.
Zentralverband Spedition & Logistik was established in 1897 as a stakeholder. The association is a member of FIATA and has around 200 members (logistics companies).
