Austrian Cargo cooperates with Lufthansa Cargo Charter
In March 2009 Austrian Cargo and Lufthansa Cargo Charter, the autonomous subsidiary of Lufthansa Cargo AG, signed a global sales agreement of services in the freight charter segment. With immediate effect the complete sales team of Austrian Cargo and its sales agents are also representing the Lufthansa Cargo Charter Agency. Strategic partnerships are an important tool at Lufthansa Cargo Charter. With its own teams in Kelsterbach, Hong Kong, Chicago and Dubai, Lufthansa Cargo Charter has been relying on the global sales team of Lufthansa Cargo for a number of years, as well that of Swiss WorldCargo for almost exactly three years. The arrival of Austrian Cargo means another competent sales partner has been added to that list. “We are looking forward to fruitful cooperation with our new partner, and see many opportunities, above all in the East European markets, where Austrian Cargo is very strong”, adds Christian Fink, Managing Director Lufthansa Cargo Charter Agency. Austrian Cargo is expanding its product portfolio with tailor-made transport solutions in line with the requirements of their customers. This ranges from the full charter flight to the combination of an Austrian scheduled flight and a charter flight. “With this important step, we can offer our customers from the international forwarding industry even more flexible solutions and a fundamentally broader transport portfolio”, Franz Zöchbauer, Executive Vice President Austrian Cargo, emphasises.
