BLG about to launch further commitments in South Africa

BLG Logistics Group gave the starting signal for the development of a “Vehicle Distribution Center“ in Harrismith

 
Detthold Aden, CEO of the BLG Logistics Group (Bremen), and Martin Günthner, Senator for economy, work and ports of Bremen, together with the Prime Minister of South Africa’s Free State Province gave the starting signal for the development of a “Vehicle Distribution Center“(VDC)“ in Harrismith.
 
In his speech to about 300 guests E. S. Magashule, Prime Minister of the Free State Province, referred to this project as part of a big long-term infrastructure project in South Africa. VDC shall offer a central, intermodal hub for exportation and importation of finished vehicles to the automotive industry on the corridor between the harbour city Durban and the metropolitan region Johannesburg/Pretoria.
 
The BLG Logistics Group has been supporting automotive manufacturers producing in South Africa for more than 11 years as a logistics service provider. BLG-head Detthold Aden: „It’s a good sign for BLG’s global reputation in automotive logistics, that we act as the partner for the development of this project.“
