Trimble Transport & Logistics’ Car Cube reduces diesel consumption of the Stöhr forwarding company in Rottenacker, Swabia, by 10 per cent. Combined with a bonus system the on-board computer is a valued help in the 90 vehicles operated by the contract logistics company, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this month. In particular the driving assistant convinced the drivers. Through a colour system and clear target definitions drivers receive information about how much they are saving and the amount of their bonus.
 
„The driving assistant of the CarCube enabled us to introduce a system, that in turn enables us to honour economical and ecological driving fair and transparently“, says Erwin Stöhr, Managing Director Stöhr Spedition. The logistics service provider uses telemetric data such as acceleration, braking or waits, to motivate drivers to drive efficiently. Each driver has equal opportunities to receive a maximum monthly bonus of EUR 100.
 
The Stöhr forwarding company celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2012. THe medium-sized logistics service provider has 180 employees and operates about 10,000 m² warehousing area. Their customers include reputable companies from the following industries: automotive, building materials, aluminium, metal products, plastics and wood as well as technical engineering.
