Construction start for FACC’s logistics centre in St. Martin/Innkreis

Angleitner GmbH to start construction works for FACC’s logistics building on 26 June; Panalpina will be the operator of the facility

Since the start of this year Panalpina has been the strategic long-term logistics partner of FACC when it comes to the reorientation of their procurement logistics. The local enterprise Angleitner GmbH will build a logistics centre in the immediate vicinity of the FACC plants in St. Martin und Ort im Innkreis for the central management of all inbound goods flows. Panalpina will be the operator of this facility, thus assuming responsibility of organisation and management of all incoming goods, storage, picking and supply of the individual work places in all of the four FACC plants.

The first turn of the sod for the logistics centre including about 5,500 m² covered warehousing area will be made on 26 June 2013; operation shall start in early 2014. Due to the big variety of FACC’s products the new logistics centre includes also a 1,000 m² deep freeze zone (minus 18°C) with two separate segments for dangerous goods of about 300 m².
