Dachser establishes „Eurohub“ in Bratislava

After the difficult year 2009 Dachser shows careful optimism again

In a press briefing in Munich the Dachser Group management gave a positive outlook to the year 2010. “The new financial year got off to a promising start. The results in the first quarter stabilized at the level of the last 2009 quarter, giving justified reason for optimism. Although at the moment we cannot predict sustained general economic recovery with absolute certainty, we nevertheless see good possibilities to take advantage of a range of market opportunities that will present themselves in 2010,” Bernhard Simon, spokesman of the management board, explained to journalists.

With its strategic “Mobilization for Europe” focus programme, short “MOBILE 2015”, the internationally acting provider of logistics service has laid the foundation stone for further growth in the European groupage cargo market. In addition to the existing "Eurohub" in Überherrn, they are establishing two more hubs in Bratislava (Slovakia) and Clermont-Ferrand (France). Thus the portfolio of products and services in Central and Eastern Europe is to be expanded, says Mr. Simon. Dachser will invest EUR 156 million in the expansion and optimisation of its network in the current business year.
