Dachser opens Eurohub in Bratislava

Dachser’s Eurohub Bratislava links 12 countries between the Baltic, the Adriatic and the Black Sea:

In the presence of high ranking representatives from politics and industry, the internationally acting logistics service provider Dachser opened its Eurohub in Bratislava on 18 June 2011. The new logistics facility in Slovakia is one of three European hubs in the company’s network. It was built on a 64,000 m² plot in the Municipality of Lozorno, about 25 kilometres from Bratislava.

Dachser constructed a 3,400 m² throughput hall for industrial goods at the new site, which will be used by the location and function as a Eurohub at the same time. Moreover a 1,800 m² office building was built. The investment amounts to around EUR 11 million.

The Eurohub Bratislava plays a major role in the Dachser network. The facility serves as a central for all transportations from and to central and eastern Europe, and is directly linked to the Eurohub in Überherrn (Germany). Twelve countries – Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia- Herzegovina, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Italy and Slovakia – are currently linked directly to the site in Bratislava.
