Daily Maersk: New service concept from Asia to northern Europe

Maersk Line sets new accents in liner shipping business by introducing daily liner services with exact transportation time and compensation for delayed containers

Maersk Line enters a new era in container shipping business between Asia and northern Europe. Under the trademark Daily Maersk“ the Danish shipping line is launching a service concept offering daily links on the east-west corridor. The operations are based on a strict schedule.

The focus of “Daily Maersk“ lies on guaranteed punctual departures and arrivals. In case of delays by one to three days, customers will be paid USD 100 per container. If delayed by four days or more, Maersk Line will pay back USD 300 per container.

The engine behind the Asia-northern Europe link is 70 container vessels operating a daily service between four ports in Asia (Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian and Tanjung Pelepas) and three ports in Europe (Felixstowe, Rotterdam and Bremerhaven).
