DB Schenker Logistics opens subsidiary in Iceland

On June 1st, DB Schenker Logistics opened its own office in Reykjavik, Iceland. Prior to this, customers relied on the service of a partner.

The new Iceland subsidiary now represents the global DB Schenker network with 2,000 locations in more than 130 countries. The focus of the activities is on general air and ocean freight.

According to Ingvar Nilsson, CEO of Schenker North who is responsible for the business in Iceland as regional director, Europe North, the company intends to play a leading role in global reefer logistics with a focus on the seafood industry in the North Atlantic Ocean.
