New feeder service of Maersk Line links Gdansk and St. Petersburg with Kotka (Finland)

The deepwater container terminal in the Polish seaport of Gdansk is given the status as a hub to serve the Baltic States with the Danish Maersk Line. Since the beginning of the month the shipping company has a feeder service to St. Petersburg in its program. The container ship “Hanse Confidence“ is to start its journey from Gdanksk to Russia every Friday. Each departure offers a capacity for 956 TEU. On its route from St. Petersburg to Gdansk the feeder service has a stopover in Kotka (Finland).

So far Maersk Line is the first container shipping company to start a direct service from the Far East to Gdansk at the beginning of this year. The AE10 service calls the Polish port once per week. The feeder service to St. Petersburg and Kotka is operated under the short name F15.
