Deutz AG counts on know how of Stute Verkehrs-GmbH

Stute Verkehrs-GmbH to provide logistics services for Deutz AG until 2017 at a total value of EUR 100 million

Deutz AG renews its contract with Stute Verkehrs GmbH ahead of schedule for five years until the end of 2017. The 100 per cent subsidiary of the Kuehne + Nagel group operates the following facilities for the manufacturer of diesel motors in Cologne: three fully automatic high rack warehouses with 30,000 spaces, two automatic small parts warehouses with 88,000 slots and several conveyor facilities for the production supply. Thereby the enterprise shows high flexibility with respect to the great number of types of motors.

In the frame of the supply and disposal for the Deutz motor production, Stute attends to goods income, warehousing for 35,000 items, production-related order picking, just-in-time delivery within in a reaction time of four hours, packing and dispatch preparation of the finished motors, shuttle services between the production site and the logistics hub, empty goods management as well as carpentery and wood packing. Around 600 finished built-in motors are currently daily leaving the logistics site.

Stute Verkehrs-GmbH with its headquarters in Bremen has around 1,400 employees at more than 30 locations in Germany and is one of the European market leaders in the field of customer-oriented logistics services. Their clients are e.g. reputable enterprises such as Airbus, ArcelorMittal, Claas, Daimler, Diehl and Hilti.
