Duvenbeck Logistics creates 50 new jobs in the city of Haag

New major order from the customer BMW Motoren in Steyr brings Duvenbeck Logistics to establish a location in Lower Austria

The Duvenbeck corporate group based in Bocholt (Germany) consolidates its market appearance in Austria. The company sets up a new location on a 40,000 m² plot in the industrial park ‘Steyrerstraße’ in the city of Haag (Lower Austria), where about 50 new jobs will be created until the end of this year. “We will create about 100 more jobs in the next two to three years“, Mag. Norbert Joichl, CEO Eastern Europe Duvenbeck Logistics informed on a press conference.

The background of this investment is a new order to handle the shipments from the plant of BMW Motoren in Steyr. The order volume will range from about 50 to 60 truck loads per day, destined for Munich, Regensburg, Dingolfing, Leipzig and the CKD location in Wackersdorf. Inbound operations and internal transportations in Steyr will be continued as before. This is also true for the 3,000 m² warehouse for packing and containerisation of the engines destined for China and India.

The Duvenbeck corporate group puts its focus on serving customers form the automotive, beverages and plastic industry. The 5,500 employees at 36 locations in eight European countries (Germany, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Spain) dispose an owned fleet of 1,500 tractor units, 2,360 towed vehicles and 1,200 swap bodies. Furthermore they manage approximately 200,000 m² of warehouse space, with a rising tendency. By accompanying the clients to new markets and showing willingness for permanent innovations, the family enterprise has reached annual sales of EUR 500 million. In its issue no. 48/2015 the ÖVZ transport magazine reports in detail about Duvenbeck Logistics.
