New IT applications for procurement and distribution logistics in the groupage network of System Alliance Europe

 

System Alliance Europe (SAE) has added new IT applications to its service portfolio. As of now the European groupage network offers IT-supported pick-up orders, as well as customized logistics concepts. With these new features, System Alliance Europe partners are able to offer their customers more flexibility in the network.

With the recently started IT-supported solution for procurement logistics, the nearest network partner accepts pick-up orders for consignments from all 23 countries covered by the network. “CargoCollect”, the new web application, offers a convenient solution therefore. It enables all 166 branches of 47 System Alliance Europe network partners to transmit and manage pick-up orders electronically, even if their in-house systems do not offer the possibility.

In addition the tracking and tracing system “CargoTrack” offers maximum transparency from pick-up to delivery. Every status change either transmitted via EDI or entered in the web-based “CargoCollect” is available immediately in “CargoTrack”. Furthermore, all delivery documents are archived electronically and made available shortly after delivery.

The innovations in the area of pick-up orders also favor the implementation of system-wide, customer-specific logistics models. Now, complex models for distribution and procurement logistics can also be processed within the network. The optimized processes and information flows provide for total process transparency, according to statements of SAE.
