trans-o-flex Thermomed: Full pharmaceutical logistics from one source Since October trans-o-flex ThermoMed GmbH & Co. KG, specialising in actively temperature controlled transportations for the pharmaceutical industry, offers transportations with a constant temperature between 15 and 25 degree Celsius, in addition to their existing transportations between 2 and 8 degree Celsius. “Thus all transport requirements of the pharmaceutical industry can be fulfilled within the trans-o-flex Logistics Group: actively temperature controlled transportations in the two relevant ranges with ThermoMed as well as non temperature sensitive consignments with the trans-o-flex express delivery service “, says Carsten Glos, Managing Director of trans-o-flex ThermoMed. Parcels and pallets can be forwarded in both segments. Customers are offered full service from one source. The required expansion of capacities and modifications had been implemented within less than a half year. Since last June trans-o-flex ThermoMed has modified the full depot network and the full fleet in Germany to be able to offer a closed cool chain for both temperature ranges. More than 100 new Mercedes-Benz transporters of the Sprinter type were acquired. They have a special superstructure box that is equipped with two variable cooling cells in a row.
