Express-Interfracht masters Abu Dhabi project
RCA-subsidiary Express-Interfracht forwards steel components for Formula 1 Vienna based Express-Interfracht forwarding company has been proving its capability of handling intercontinental transportations on the occasion of an international prestige project. Steel components for buildings and tribunes at the Formula 1 race track in Abu Dhabi, where the first Grand Prix took place on 1 November 2009, had been shipped from Europe to the capital of the United Arab Emirates. “Since late summer 2008 we have been organising a lot of transportations from all over Europe to Abu Dhabi“, Alexander Freil, Manager of the overseas container /air freight division of the RCA subsidiary Express-Interfracht, describes the project. In detail, steel products from London or Barcelona where either transferred to the construction site in Abu Dhabi directly, or on demand via consolidation points like Hamburg. The overseas container/air freight division team has coordinated the full transport and customs procedure. In addition to container transportations also roro-shipments and air freight dispatch solutions were part of the service concept. |
