Fercam opens location in Vienna

Vienna-location targeted to boost East-traffics of Fercam Group

The international transport- and logistics group Fercam consolidates its market appearance in Austria. On March 2, the second location within Austria was opened in Brunn/Gebirge near Vienna. The new station completes the Austrian activities so far concentrated in Wörgl in the province of Tyrol.

„Our commitment in Wörgl proved its worth. Thus the opening of the location in Brunn/Gebirge near Vienna is an important step in the course of our strategic company-development. Moreover, tax conditions in Austria are still advantageous for us“, said Dr. Thomas Baumgartner, Managing Director of Fercam. In his point of view Vienna is of utmost importance for Eastern traffics.

In 2009 Fercam is celebrating its 60-year-jubilee. The Bolzano-based enterprise has strongly diversified its portfolio during the last years. Traditional transport services are now making up no more than 50 percent of the total turnover. Logistics services and intercontinental forwarding business are gaining significance. The European network of the group comprises 54 locations (36 in Italy) and has 1,350 employees. The fleet consists of 2,200 transport units. Warehousing capacity is stated to be 270,000 square metres of covered space.
