Hapag-Lloyd’s AES service has a “winter break“

Shipping company Hapag-Lloyd decides to suspend Atlantic Express Shuttle (AES) from Antwerp to New York

 

Hapag-Lloyd introduces a “winter schedule“ for its Atlantic Express Shuttle (AES service) from Antwerp to New York and return. In a press release the enterprise announced the suspension of the service from mid-December. They were going to cover the customer demand with other Northatlantic services, the release says.

The last westbound departure ex Antwerp is scheduled for 14 December. The last eastbound vessel ex New York sets the sails on 18 December. Hapag-Lloyd wants to reactivate the Atlantic Express Shuttle on condition the expected market volume is reached again. However, the enterprise did not specify a date for reactivation of the service.
