Honold-Dietrich starts construction of new building in Timisoara
Honold-Dietrich joint venture to build a logistics facility with 10,000 m² hall space in Timisoara, Romania
The Honold logistics group expands the presence of their joint venture with Dietrich Logistik in Timisoara/Romania by 10,000 m². Construction works started recently, they shall be finished and operation shall start by 1 April 2013.
The facility might be expanded in a second step to 50,000 m². The hall is designed as a storage hall for German customers, who want to become active in Romania. Honold is making a single-digit million investment in the frame of this construction project.
In total Honold-Dietrich has currently about 150 employees in Timisoara/Romania. After the new builsing starts operation, 100 more jobs will be created. The medium term target is to have more than 500 employees in Timisoara.
Location development in Timisoara is a strategic, long-term issue for Honold-Dietrich. As experience shows, German companies like to locally cooperate with German logisticians, in order to combine the advantages of the common mentality with Romanian advantages, the company states in a press release.
