It’s the end for Eder. Wir sind die roten Wölfe. Speditions GmbH

Loss of an important customer from the packing industry was fatal for Eder. Wir sind die roten Wölfe. Speditions GmbH

The bankruptcy proceeding about the assets and liabilities of the forwarding company "EDER. Wir sind die roten Wölfe. Speditions GmbH" based in Neuzeug was opened at the regional court Steyr on 9 November. The enterprise has currently still 45 employees, but is actually closed and shall be exploited. The insolvency affects 835 creditors. According to the information of the Austrian association for the protection of creditors KSV 1870 assets amount to about EUR 3.3 million, while liabilities amount to about EUR 7.2 million.

Established in 2003 the international forwarding company operates an own fleet of 37 trucks. They had up to 57 employees at two locations – in Dietach and in Behamberg. Their major customers came from the paper, waste paper and packaging industry.

“The main reason for the insolvency was the loss of major customers. In the packaging sector they lost a client in June 2012, thus they had to minimise the fleet. In addition there were losses in turnover due to high fuel prices, which could not be passed on to the customers“, KSV 1870 informs.

In the paper industry the crisis affected the company in the second quarter of 2012, when a major client had to close its factory in Styria, which resulted in massive losses as well. Following a recently declined financing by a potential investor, the opening of the insolvency proceedings was inevitable.
