Kombiverkehr striving to increase its market share in Poland

Krzysztof Brzezowski, area manager for Poland, to expand the presence of Kombiverkehr KG in the potentially growing traffic region Poland

Frankfurt‘s Kombiverkehr KG appointed Krzysztof Brzezowski its own area manager for Poland. “We want to expand our presence in the potentially growing market of Poland and continuously increase our market share", says managing director Robert Breuhahn. The 44-year-old Brzezowski from Poland will be in charge of sales and production. He will act as a direct contact person for existing and new customers from Polish forwarders and transport companies. However, he will also act as a ‘gateway‘ to the railway companies providing services to Kombiverkehr.

Krzysztof Brzezowski has experience in different logistics sectors. He had been working for Polish Ocean Lines, P&O Nedlloyd and Maersk Line. In the past three years he has been working on behalf of the operator PCC Intermodal. “One of my main targets is to increase the performance of Kombiverkehr, thus making intermodal transport an even more attractive alternative transport solution for Polish customers", he states.

Kombiverkehr is experiencing a rapidly increasing demand on the routes from and to Poland. Following the collapse of transport quality due to railway problems in 2011 and the subsequent decline in the number of bookings, the enterprise made some changes regarding production last autumn. As a result quality rose again and transport volumes grew considerably. In the first six months of 2012 trains operated in Polish traffic registered a 47 per cent-increase.
