Lagermax Spedition receives AEO-certificate

AEO-certificate attests particular reliability of Lagermax Spedition

Lagermax Internationale Spedition GmbH (Salzburg) was added to the list of AEO (Authorized Economic Operators) certified forwarding and logistics companies as of January 2009. The certificate awarded by the Austrian customs authority attests the enterprise as a particularly reliable and trustworthy service provider for international goods traffic.

To receive the AEO-certificate the enterprise has to meet certain requirements concerning customs and security legislation. In addition to an intensive training of the employees changes in internal procedures were required.

The measures taken prior to the AEO-certification already turned to account in daily business.“ The AEO-status minimises the goods and paper controls of the customs authorities, which cuts waiting times. The smaller risk profile allows handling transports quicker on part of the customs. „, said Herbert Weber, Managing Director.

Thanks to the AEO-certificate Lagermax-clients may plan transport chains easier and profit from shorter customs clearance procedures. Another advantage of the AEO-status is article 5a of the Community Customs Code, which stipulates that the certification is approved within all Member States of the European Union.
