Lufthansa transported less airfreight
After several years of continuous growth Lufthansa Cargo AG transported less airfreight and airmail in 2008. With 1.7 million tons of cargo the transported volume lies 6 per cent behind the figurein the previous year. The cargo load factor fell by 3.2 percentage points to 65.8 per cent, as the Lufthansa Group announced in a press release. As for passenger transport, a total of about 57 million persons took flights with Lufthansa, an increase of 1.2 per cent on the year-earlier level.
