Meyer & Meyer acquires strategic holding in WKS company

Fashion logistics specialist Meyer & Meyer acquires 25 per cent of the shares of WKS Textilveredelungs GmbH based in Wilsum
 
The fashion logistics specialist Meyer & Meyer from Osnabr ck is holding 25 per cent of WKS Textilveredlungs-GmbH headquartered in Wilsum with immediate effect. Both companies have been focussing on fashion logistics and cooperating for many years. The services of WKS in the segments quality control and assurance as well as raw and finished goods logistics for fashion goods is complementing well the Meyer & Meyer s service portfolio of services along the entire textile value added supply chain.
 
Wilfried Holtgrave will remain managing director of WKS Textilveredlungs-GmbH. He wil be supported by R diger Bentrup, who has been managing director of Meyer & Meyer Transport Logistics GmbH & Co. KG for many years and who will be an important link of the two enterprises.
 
With this holding we want to extend our strategic partnership with WKS , says R diger Bentrup. WKS has 1,000 employees on international scale; more than 200 of them working at the headquarters in Wilsum. Moreover the company operates locations in Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Armenia, Turkey, Italy, the Netherlands and the Dominican Republic.
