Militzer & Münch forwarding expand in Turkey

Following a new branch office in Bursa, Militzer & Münch is planning to open another location in Ankara later this year
 
The St Gallen (Switzerland)-based Militzer & Münch has opened a new office in Bursa, an industrial city in Turkey. The new location reinforces the business activities of the transport and logistics service provider in that country. In addition the company is planning to open another location with 10 employees in Ankara later this year.
 
Bursa, south of Istanbul, is Turkey’s fourth largest city. Militzer & Münch provides services in all its five business fields: road, rail, air, ocean and project transport at the Bursa office. The operative business, customer care and service marketing will be carried out on the spot by a staff team of six. The manager of the new facility is Oktay Ates, 48.
 
“The new branch in Bursa is an important contribution to consolidating our commitment between Europe and Asia“, says CEO Ewald Kaiser. “Its particular geographic situation on two continents makes Turkey an important gate to Central Asian countries.“
 
The branch office in Bursa is the second location Militzer & Münch has opened in Turkey within a short period: In August 2012 the company started operating an office in the port city Mersin in the south of the country. In addition to Bursa and Mersin they operate also branches in the port cities Istanbul and Izmir. In total they have more than 50 employees.
 
The Militzer & Münch Group employs a staff of about 2,800 at 100 locations in over 30 countries in in East Europe, the CIS, in the Middle East and the Far East as well as in the Maghreb countries. Militzer & Münch sees itself as a specialist for Eurasia and North Africa and provides international services along the East-West axis comprising road and rail overland transports, air and sea freight, as well as project logistics.
