Morawa-Berchtold Transporte grows with ‘complementary’

Morawa-Berchtold Transporte’s systematic expansion of activities in area-covering distribution of general cargo in Austria

Morawa-Berchtold Transporte GmbH continues making efforts to consolidate its position as a specialist of fast distribution of general cargo and palletised shipments in Austria. In the past years the enterprise was able to gradually increase the transport volume thanks to solutions for customers from the paper and sanitary wholesale trade, as well as from the convenience sector, Ernest Stierschneider, Managing Director, reports in the interview with the Austrian transport magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung. The backbone for these operations was the overnight transport service using their own 100 trailer trucks and 12 transporters.

Morawa Berchtold Transporte is specialising in fine distribution of papers, magazines and books in Austria. Moreover the company offers solutions in the sectors overnight logistics, printing and paper logistics, cool logistics and storage logistics, completed by national forwarding services. Their 210 employees at the locations in Innsbruck (headquarters), Salzburg, Pasching near Linz, Tulln and Guntramsdorf generated a turnover at EUR 36 million in 2011.
