New business for BLG Logistics (Bremen) in Brazil

Volkswagen relies on the BLG Logistics Group’s expertise for CKD overseas exportation of vehicle parts of the Volkswagen group from Brazil

Volkswagen has awarded a new business in Brazil to the BLG Logistics Group. It is CKD overseas exportation of vehicles from three locations in South America. The first stage of the new business concerns vehicle parts produced in the VW plant in Anchieta, which is to start these days. Two more locations are two follow in August. In Curitiba unfinished components are produced, while the plant in San Carlos builds motors.

BLG Logistics offers by its own account „sea ports oriented logistics in a global standard“. The name of the corporate group with its headquarters in Bremen represents international networks in the segments automotive, contract and container logistics. With around 15,000 employees around the globe the enterprise generated a turnover of almost EUR 900 million in 2010, which means an increase of 9.6 per cent on the previous year.
