New fertiliser hall for Rhenus in Hanau

Concentration of storage capacities for fertilisers at the Port of Hanau helps customers of the Rhenus group to optimise logistics

Rhenus Group has concentrated its storage capacities for fertilisers at the Port of Hanau. On 5 November the logistics service provider opened the new hall in the presence of many invited guests. “The 5,000 sq. m. storage area increases the quality of service to a considerable extent. Related to the construction of the hall, the more efficient company-internal logistics shortens transport and loading times for customers and their transporters, respectively“, the enterprise writes in a press release.

„The new infrastructure meets the requirements of our business partners. With this modern throughput, conveyance and storage technology this location enlarges its renown as a national and international hub for the fertiliser industry“, says Marianne Drieß-Garrecht, Location Manager of Rhenus in Hanau, on the occasion of the opening.

The new storage area is situated on a 109,000 sq. m. plot. It is equipped with a 90 metres conveyance belt for the throughput of fertilisers and is able to carry 24 boxes with a total of 24,000 tons of goods.
