Panalpina boosts its market presence in southern Austria

New office of the Panalpina forwarding group in Klagenfurt shall boost sales in the Land Carinthia:

As the customers in Styria and in Carinthia have different requirements, the globally acting transport and logistics group Panalpina puts its sales in southern Austria on a new basis. At the start of this year the sales team was enlarged, to be able to guarantee a better service to the customers from Austria’s most southern Land. Opening an office in Klagenfurt in August the enterprise emphasises on its ambitions. The new station concentrates on sales tasks in Carinthia and East Tyrol.

"In Carinthia there are several interesting importers and exporters with big potential for our enterprise", says Mag. Karl-Heinz Krois, manager of the Panalpina Welttransport GmbH branch in Graz, when talking to the Austrian transport magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung. The forwarding company has a traditionally strong rooting in sea freight in Styria. More than half of the 50 employees are working in this segment.
