Raben Group sets new accents in Ukraine
Raben Group opens cross-docking warehouse in Ukraine Raben Group introduces another innovation to render high-quality transport and logistics services in Ukraine. At the end of August the first professional distribution centre for cross-docking operations was opened. The facility is equipped with 5400 sq.m. warehousing area, 51 hydraulic loading ramps, 24-hours video surveillance and modern scanning systems. The main task is to get goods immediately shipped without interim storage. Oversized cargoes are handled at two separate gates. “Till now we used some area in our central warehouse for cross-docking operations. Now we moved such operations to the new professional cross-dock. This has increased terminal capacity resulting in 80 per cent higher daily turnover of pallets. The increased number of ramps has accelerated productivity and optimised turnover time of shipment handling,” explains Andrzej Kozlowski, Director of Raben Ukraine. Raben Ukraine started to operate in 2003 and is a Raben Group company. The enterprise operates 50,000 sq.m. of warehouses and offers a broad portfolio of distribution services like national and international distributions including customs services or warehousing and administration (including bonded warehouses). At six locations in Brovary (30 kilometres away from Kiev), L’viv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovs’k 600 persons are employed. |
