Raben Logistics Germany improves its network

Raben Logistics Germany opened new warehouse at the depot in Wuppertal and shortly will open a warehouse in Würzburg:

Raben Logistics Germany is running an ambitious program to expand and modernise its network. On 17 June Raben opened a new warehouse at the depot in Wuppertal. With the enlargement of capacities by 35 per cent, Raben has gained the opportunity to react dynamically to the growing market.

With a total investment of EUR 5.1 million Raben Logistics has built 4,290 m² of cross-dock space with 53 ramps and 1,341 m² of offices in Wuppertal. A video surveillance system with 72 cameras makes an all-over trace of each shipment possible. Thanks to this system, processes can be documented, analyzed and modified if needed.

The newbuilding in Wuppertal i spart of a bigger concept to optimise the service portfolio in Germany. Last year the investment near Berlin was finished. In a few weeks we will open a warehouse in Würzburg. “I am sure these investments will bring better service for our customers", said Wilfried Reiners, Managing Director of Raben Logistics Germany.

Raben Logistics Germany has 510 employees at eight locations (Mönchengladbach, Aachen, Wuppertal, Würzburg, Nürnberg, Regensburg, Mittenwalde, Prenzlau). The enterprise is a member of the System Alliance Europe. The parent company Raben Group has around 5.200 employees in ten European countries. The services are marketed via the brands Raben, Raben Sea & Air, Transkam and Fresh Logistics.
