Redur S.A. joins Logistics World Alliance

Contract logistics cooperation Logistics World Alliance has a new partner for Spain and Portugal

 

The European contract logistics cooperation Logistics World Alliance (LWA) has won a new partner – Spanish logistics service provider Redur, S.A.. With backdated effect from 1 February 2010, Redur will be responsible for the cooperation’s logistics services in Spain and Portugal. Redur’s network covers the entire Iberian Peninsula with 50 branches and 1,900 employees, and a fleet of around 1,000 own trucks. The new LWA partner’s core areas include procurement and distribution logistics as well as contract logistics, including warehousing and value-added-services. Redur carries out this work in its 19 logistics terminals with a total of 200,000 square metres.

The cooperation partners (Aditro Logistics, Bibby Distribution, Geis Group, Log Service Europe, MGF Logistique, P&O Ferrymasters, Redur) of the Luxembourg-based LWA employ around 18,000 employees and generate an annual turnover of more than 2.1 billion euros. The services are rendered at more than 300 sites across Europe and cover the following countries: Scandinavia, UK, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Russia, Romania, the Netherlands, Hungary, Ukraine, Spain and Portugal.
