Rieder launches “Speed Service“ for customised overseas packaging

Modernisation of box production in Ramsau forms the basis of the Rieder company to introduce a 24-hours delivery service:

To be prepared for further growth, the Lower Austrian packing company Rieder has modernised its box production in Ramsau, Styria. Through the purchase of a fully automated cutting machine, separation of working processes and an elaborated plant logistics the basis was formed for a highly flexible production process. “Customers from the mechanical and plant engineering may profit from a 24-hours delivery service of customised overseas packaging“, Managing Director Ing. Hannes Rieder explains in the interview with the Austrian transport magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung.

Rieder Kistenproduktion has currently 85 employees and generated an annual turnover of about EUR 11 million. In addition to the headquarters in Ramsau, district Lilienfeld, they operate four locations for services in the segments container stuffing and warehousing logistics. At the stations in Krems (MDK Mierka Donauhafen Krems), Enns (Danubia Speicherei) and Port of Vienna there are direct connections to rail, road and waterway available. The sister company Packing Center Terminal Graz Süd Gesellschaft m.b.H. operates the Packing Center Graz, which offers a 8.000 m² heated hall for storage of parts for machines and plants on a total area of 15.000 m². The special feature of the facility is a hall crane with a rail siding, which allows handling of heavy cargo with a maximum weight per piece of 57 tons.
