Toll Group acquires traditional company Andree & Wilkerling (Hamburg)

German ocean freight forwarder Andree & Wilkerling (AWG) to be integrated into the global network of Australian Toll Group:

Taking over the German ocean freight forwarder Andree & Wilkerling (Hamburg), the Melbourne-based Toll Group is taking another step to consolidate its position in traffic between the regions Asia/Pacific and Europe. The purchased company is known as a specialist for LCL/FCL services for products from the retail, consumer goods, chemicals and steel segments on the routes from Europe to Asia and return, as well as a leading supplier of weekly LCL services to destinations in North Africa, the Middle East and Germany. Overland transport and air freight services complete the range of services.

Andree & Wilkerling – AWG in short – has been active in international forwarding since 1873. The enterprise has 28 employees at its headquarters in Hamburg and generated a turnover at EUR 15.2 million in 2010. Toll Group, with around 40,000 staff worldwide, integrates its latest acquisition into its global forwarding division.
