Saudi Arabian Cargo about to call Vienna

Regular freighter service of Saudia Airlines Cargo to call Vienna twice per week from 25 March 2012

The Vienna Airport is about to be covered by the global freighter network of Saudi Airlines Cargo. A liner service of the Arabian airline, departing from Doha, Qatar, will call Austria’s capital twice weekly as of 25 March. This was announced by Dr. Günther Ofner, Member of the Executive Committee Flughafen Wien AG, last week at a presentation at the 28th Logistics Dialogue of the Bundesvereinigung Logistik Österreich.

In addition to Vienna the freighters of Saudi Airlines Cargo will also call Frankfurt/Main four times per week as a new destination from the 2012 summer flight schedule. Brussels (12 frequencies per week), Amsterdam (five flights) and Milan (3 services) will complete the European freighter schedule. In global operation the Arabian airline uses twelve freighter jets and the belly capacity of 140 passenger aircraft of its parent company Saudi Arabian Airlines to cover 225 destinations in liner service.
