Schenker & Co AG: Kurt Leidinger succeeds Elmar Wieland as CEO
Kurt Leidinger is to take over the function as CEO of Schenker & Co AG in Austria and Southeastern Europe from 1 January 2013
As of 1 January 2013 a personnel change is to take place in the management board of Schenker & Co AG. After 38 years of successful activity for the enterprise, 26 years thereof in the management board, managing director Elmar Wieland is about to retire. His successor is Kurt Leidinger (49), lately holding the position as CEO of the units air freight, sea freight, logistics and sales.
Schenker & Co AG in Vienna serves as the regional head office for Southeastern Europe. This region includes Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Romanai, Moldawia, Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus and Turkey with a total staff of 5,261 persons and annual turnover of EUR 1.5 billion in 2011.
