Second version of the contest „Jungspediteur des Jahres“
Great prizes to win at the “Jungspediteur des Jahres 2012“ contest of the Zentralverband Spedition & Logistik
For the second time the Austrian central association of forwarding and logistics, Zentralverband Spedition & Logistik (www.spediteure-logistik.at), invites young, ambitious forwarders from all across the country to participate in a contest: He or she must be born 1987 or later and apply with a sustainable ecological and/or economic customer/or industry solution to participate in the contest for the title “Jungspediteur des Jahres 2012“ (young forwarder of the year 2012). The maximum length of the paper is seven pages and must arrive at the Zentralverband Spedition & Logistik (Vienna) before 31 October 2012. The first prize is a trip to New York for two persons.

A jury consisting of members of the ZV-committee and two external experts will elect the winners. The four best candidates will be invited to the general meeting of the ZV on 23 November 2012 in Vienna, where the prize ceremony will take place.
In total about 16,000 persons are working for Austria’s forwarding and logistics industry, about 4,000 of them are younger than 25 years. Their education ranges from apprenticeships and universities of applied sciences to classic universities: “Our contest focuses on young, creative people in this industry“, emphasises ZV President Harald Bollmann.
Zentralverband Spedition & Logistik was established in 1897 to represent the interests of Austrian forwarding and logistics service providers on a voluntary basis. The association is a member of the international FIATA organisation. Zentralverband Spedition & Logistik has about 200 members (logistics enterprises), Harald Bollmann has been holding the position of the President since 2008.
