Singapore Airlines Cargo establishes new connection to Europe

SIA Cargo opens regular freighter service from Dhaka to Brussels

Singapore Airlines Cargo (SIA Cargo) adds another service to the freighter route network from Asia to Europe. As of now a Boeing 747-400F offering a carrying capacity of 120 tons of air freight is operated once a week from Dhaka in Bangladesh via Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates to Brussels. Departure point of the new service is Singapore, where the freighter starts its flight to Dhaka every Friday. In Brussels consignments coming from Bangladesh can be further transported to North and South America.

“This service will provide the capacities necessary to enhance Bangladesh’s trade links with Europe and North America,” said Mr Tan Tiow Kor, Senior Vice President Cargo of Singapore Airlines Cargo. The main export items of the Asian country are garments, leather products, jute products, tea, fruit and vegetables.
