S&T Austria entrusts Logwin with warehousing logistics

Logistics service provider Logwin offers support to S&T Austria in the fields warehousing and order picking of new and replacement devices:

IT service provider S&T Austria has replaced its goods warehouse through a cooperation with Logwin Solutions Austria. The international logistics service provider is now responsible for warehousing of new and replacement devices. The logistics specialist has therefore set up a separate 650 m² area at its location in Vienna, which is monitored by cameras. As part of an outsourcing project Logwin has taken some of the employees who worked in the goods warehouse S&T Austria.

New computers, monitors and keyboards arrive at and leave the warehouse on a daily basis. Logwin accepts incoming goods, checks their number and packaging and sorts them into storage racks. An average of around 7,000 to 8,000 articles is held in stock there. Picking is also part of the warehouse management task, with the logistician putting together exactly those products that each S&T customer requires. In addition to the warehouse, the Logwin site in Vienna also houses an alarm-protected technical equipment room Logwin rents to S&T. The IT service provider’s staff have access to this room around the clock seven days a week. This is where they can for example set up server cabinets and configure equipment for their customers over an area of 160 m².

“The security systems provided by Logwin meet our expectations exactly,” states Eduard Bugelnig, CEO of S&T Austria. “That’s why we deliberately chose to entrust Logwin with the storage of our products.” Alexander Kratky, Manager Sales and Key Account Management at the Logwin business segment Solutions, says this collaboration was an evidence of trust, since some of the products involved are very valuable.

S&T Austria GmbH is a leading provider of consulting, outsourcing, systems integration and IT services. The company employs more than 230 people at its branches in Vienna, Graz, Innsbruck, Linz and Salzburg. With some 2,000 employees, the S&T Group operates in 19 countries in central and eastern Europe and in 2010 generated sales of EUR 351 million.
