System Alliance Europe aims to grow further after 2013 record year

2013 financial year: Threefold increase in volume of time-defined general cargo shipments results in record volume handled with System Alliance Europe

For the first time since System Alliance Europe was established, the 56 partners of the European groupage freight cooperation surpassed the amount of 3.5 million shipments. This means an increase of about five per cent in the 2013 business year compared to the previous year. The tonnage amounted to 1.636 million tonnes.

“The mechanisms of the network have an increasing effect. The interaction of partners and customers realizes high quality”, says Uwe Meyer, managing director of System Alliance Europe. Especially the runtime sensitive products have grown compared to the previous year. A threefold increase of volume could be reported in the time definite services.

“This year, it is also our aim, to increase the amount of consignments by five per cent’, Meyer announced. This shall occur by further additions to the existing traffic lines across Europe. In January/February, 34 new traffic lines amongst the partners can be announced.
